9/8: back on the road, going down the coast

Posted late because we didn't have signal at camp.

We packed up this morning and continued down the Oregon Coast, as the region is aptly named. At one point, we came upon some flat rocks with white seals sunning themselves. The day started overcast and misty but eventually gave way to full sun. For a lot of the ride, we had flat roads and a nice tail wind.
These were the views out over the ocean:
We got to this ghostly bridge that ran into the mist. We had to walk it.
For a brief bit, we opened up to a wide view of the Pacific, where you could tell the world was round:
Still plenty of breathtaking scenery, but also a lot of the same old grind along 101. Today was relatively easy. We landed at 3:30p at George Washburne State Park, having advanced 64mi. We're getting quite a bit of wind at this campsite.

Love these posted pics. And also wonder about the raccoon - maybe it was a honey badger :). Glad there's no reports of being cold or wet or otherwise unhappy. Take lots of pics!
