*Today I didn't secure my underwear well enough, and it fell off as I crossed a bridge. Fortunately, Matt saw it happen (and saw them get run over by an 18-wheeler) and picked it up. I had already said goodbye to the $6 pair of special travel undies, but they were saved. And literally have a skidmark on them.

High up on a hillside, you can see the low clouds covering the rolling country below:

Some signs that I thought were hobo signs, but I think are runes:

Not a bad number of hot dogs sold for a town of 177:

Posting from the beach in the camp we're staying at -- Humbug Mountain State Park. There's another stream here leading to the scene that reminds me of the plains of Tibet or Mongolia.

My phone is on the fritz again. Hopefully fix before it dies out.
[1 year anniversary note:
At some camp, I was so eager to shower that I didn't take off my jersey. I'd done it before. But this time I forgot to fish out my wallet and phone. It got quite a splashing before I realized.

You can see the condensation in the left of the picture above. I spent maybe 10 min sitting on a rock at the beach picking away at the charging port, trying to dig out baking soda. I'd packed the phone in a paper towel and then put that in a baggie with baking soda, hoping to draw out moisture.

At one point, I thought I had it fixed, but I could tell it was doing the usual iPhone moisture-caused fast discharge. I had to leave my dynamo on a lot more than usual just to keep the phone alive. This spilled over to having to ask Matt or Gabe to help charge the GPS.]
